Toddler Tuesdays

"My Community' Series"

Ages 3-5

Most Tuesdays at 10:00am

Miss Tracy offers stories, activites, songs, and crafts on themes like ABC's or shapes. On the last Tuesaday of every month kids will get a chance to meet someone important from their community like firemen, police officers, doctors etc. No sign up necessary.


Kid's Book Club

Do you love books?

Join us for our Kid's Book Club!

We'll read one book a month and then meet to talk about it, make crafts, and do other fun activities! Snacks served!

Anyone ages 8-12 is welcome.

Kid's Book Club Meets

Tuesday November 24th at 6:00pm

Thrusday December 17th at 6:00pm

 

Art Bandits

Ages 8 and up

1st Tuesday of the Month 6pm.

Love to create? Join us at the library every month for our arts and crafts club, 'Art Bandits'. We'll try a new fun project like jewelry making or paper Mache, every month. We supply the materials, you bring the imagination? All Free.

Getting Loud @ the Library

Ages 1-5

Every Friday @11am Starting October 2nd

Drop in playgroup in our meeting room. Library will provide space and some basic toys - you make the fun! (Feel free to bring along your own toys to share. No tricycles, please.)

The Last Friday of every month will be a dance party for kids with music lights and fun props! NO sign up necessary.

* Please remember that just because the library owns a book and it can be found on the AR website does not mean your elementary school owns the quiz for that book.

You should always check your schools AR list as well.

Monday Madness

Ages 7 and up

Mondays 3-7pm

Starting October 5th

Drop in for some fun after-school activities every Monday. Each week will feature a different set of self directed activities with a theme like board games or crafts. The last Monday of every month will feature a Wii Tournament. No sign up necessary but the Wii Tournament starts promptly at 4:00pm.!

We will keep your library card at the library until you are in 6 th grade. Simply tell us your first and last name and we will check out your materials to you

March is Reading Month Activities

World Jungle!: Hidden all over the Children's Room are fascinating words for you to find. Make a snake or a flower and use them to collect these hidden words. New words will grow every day.

Reading Activities!: For the prereaders we have activities of all kinds available to help teach the skills that will get kids reading and reading well early on.

Daily Games!: A different game everyday of the week like 'Guess the charater'.

Tours!: On Fridays, take Miss Tracy's Improv Tour and learn about all the great stuff available at the library. Offered every hour on the hour!

Books!Books!Books!: Check out our massive book displays or if you wnat something special, talk to a librarian on how to find it.

The Childrens Room is an inviting place to come and spend some time reading with your child/grandchild.

 

Canine Counselors

Grades 1-6

The library hosts tutoring sessions presnted by Therapy Dogs International. Tutoring sessions give children the opportunity to read toa patient and well trained dog to gain reading confidence and skills. For more information stop by the Children's Room or Call Miss Tracy.

Google Earth Field Trip

Wed. April 21st @ 6pm

Ages 7+

Explore the world from the library! See the pyramids, Mt. Fuji & so many other amazing places using Google Earth! View satellite & street images & even 3D buildings! Spaces are limited! Preregistraion is required.
