Egyptian Deity
Scavenger Hunt

Saturday, July 17th, 11am-3pm

As with any ancient culture, the Egyptians used mythology to try to explain the world around them. Many myths tell of the ancient Egyptian gods (deities) and how they interacted with the mortal world. Can you find all 17 major deities who have lost their way along the Lake Cadillac Bike & Foot Path?

This will be an outdoor event - hunt begins at the loop across from the library (corner of Lake & Chapin St) and ends at the Senior Center (intersection of Chestnut & Linden St).

Japanese Mythology

Many gods and creatures have now crossed over into the world of anime. Films like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and the Naruto series are filled with characters inspired by mythology.

TO ENTER CONTEST: Pick a character that you can prove is influenced by Japanese mythology. Create, create, create! Show up at the library Saturday August 7th to submit an official photo entry. A panel of local judges will decide 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.
