Cadillac Wexford Public Library seeks Part Time Circulation Clerk for Cadillac Location

General Description:

The library seeks a friendly and detail oriented professional to perform a variety of services for patrons of all ages. Duties include checking books in and out, shelving library materials, data inputting, and telephone answering. This job provides a steady work schedule, 10-14 hours per week in addition to monthly Saturday shifts.

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Comfort with technology and willingness to learn
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Library experience a plus

Starting hourly rate: $13.00-$13.50

Cadillac Wexford Public Library seeks Part Time Information Assistant for Cadillac Library

The Cadillac Wexford Public Library is looking for a friendly and organized part time staff member to join our Information Desk team. The right candidate will be familiar with current technologies including Windows based computing, Windows Office Suite, internet searching, and device help. They will be patient, meticulous, and comfortable assisting a diverse population of patrons.

Position: Part Time Information Desk Librarian

Work Schedule: 10-14 hours per week/some nights and weekends

Hourly Wage: $ 14.00-14.50/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of reference and library services to the public, including print and non-print resources
  • Assist with technology resources, including troubleshooting and instructing in software to individual patrons
  • Ability to provide friendly and professional service to a wide variety of patrons
  • Communicate with and assist circulation staff as needed
  • Assist with programming, and ongoing library projects
  • Serves as Librarian In Charge during the absence of senior staff

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills- verbal and written
  • Knowledge of popular office computer programs, internet use, and electronic devices
  • Prior experience in public libraries or customer service field
  • Master’s degree in Library Science or bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and Saturdays

Essential Functions: Ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time; ability to lift or carry moderately heavy objects
