The Reading Dragons and Friends program is a fun way to motivate kids to build positive reading habits! The program features collectible playable cards of mythical creatures like dragons, unicorns, griffins and more! The program levels the playing field for readers of any ability by rewarding them for the time they spend reading. This program appeals to kids who enjoy things like Pokemon, virtual pets, trading card games, and mythical creatures.  The goal is to motivate children to read regularly. In doing so they will be building up their reading skills brick by brick at their own pace, and find joy in reading! Reading Dragons & Friends runs from September-April for grades K-5. Cards are released monthly, and each year has new cards to choose from! To get started, visit us at the Cadillac, Manton, or Mesick libraries to pick up a reading log and your first 3 starter cards!
