2022 Summer Reading

June 11th - August 13th, 2022

Grades K-5 (Last grade completed)

Directions:  Each large square contains nine circles.  One activity per circle.  Do an activity and mark that circle.  Once you have 5 circles marked in ONE square bring your sheet into the library and you will get to choose a prize book.  If you finish all four squares (20 circles). turn in your sheet including your name and phone number.  Your name will be entered into a drawing for a Grand Prize!  

NOTE: You don't have to read a whole hour all at once.  You can read 10 minutes here or there or whatever!  Just make sure you have read an hour total for each one hour box.

Directions:  There are 25 circles on the sheet.  Each circle contains an activity.  Do an activity and cross out that circle.  For every 5 circles you cross out bring your sheet to the library to pick out a book to keep!  When you have completed 20 circles turn in your sheet for a special prize.  Turn over the sheet to learn about the benefit of these fun activities.

Sign up today for the 1000 books before Kindergarten program.

The goal is simple: read 1,000 books with your child before they head off to kindergarten.

Sounds like a lot, huh?  Don't worry!

1 book a day for 3 years = 1096 books
3 books a day for 1 year = 1096 books

Get a log and cross off a symbol for each book you read:

  • Repeated books count
  • Books heard at storytime count (Including library storytimes!)
  • Books read by family and friends count
