Each bag contains two library books, a snack, a bookmark, sticker, library program information, a craft or activity, and more. The more you share, the more personalized your bag will be. 2025 TEEN EPIC READS CHALLENGE

Challenge yourself to read 24 of our select epic titles in 2025. Turn in your completed sheet before the end of the year for your chance to win a Teen Bag filled with snacks, books, crafts, and more! Pick up a form at the library or click on the link below.
T-ZONE TUESDAYS
TUESDAYS, 3-5PM, GRADES 6-12 (SUGGESTED AGES 11-18)
New name - same fun! Drop in the Community Room after school for some games, snacks, good tunes, crafting, and the opportunity to make new friends.

TWEEN/TEEN MAKERSPACE
FRIDAYS, 3-5PM, GRADES 6-12 (SUGGESTED AGES 11-18)
Drop in the Community Room and create or explore something fantastic! We have Legos, Perler beads, Wonderloom bracelets, an entire craft cabinet full of supplies, and a 3D printer! In addition to all the fun, we also have weekly features:
- Week 1: button maker
- Week 2: domino challenge
- Week 3: electronics/ soldering iron
- Week 4: painting
- Week 5 (when applicable): wood burning/leather stamping
TEENTOBER
ALL MONTH LONG, AGES 11-18
Visit the library during October for a variety of spooky events! We will create creepy crafts, learn S.T.E.A.M. skills by constructing spooky contraptions, participate in an interactive movie night, and wrap it all up with a Halloween Party! SEPTEMBER 4, 2025 - JANUARY 15, 2026, AGES 14-18
Let's learn some life skills! This five part series covers, finances, vehicles, jobs, options after high school, and mental health with some of our area's leaders in the field, Weiss Financial, and the Michigan eLibrary.
- Budgeting Basics (with Fifth Third Bank): September 4, 4-6pm
- Owning a Vehicle (with Farm Bureau Insurance): October 2, 4-6pm
- Finding a Job (with Networks Northwest/Northern Michigan Works): November 6, 4-7pm
- Options After High School (with Career Tech Center): December 4, 4-6pm
- Self Care & Mental Health (with Life Skills Psychological Services): January 15, 4-6pm
TEEN LIFE SKILLS SERIES - FINDING A JOB
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6, AGES 14-18
Let’s learn some life skills! Part 3 is all about finding a job. We have partnered with Networks Northwest (NW Michigan Works) to walk you through selection, application/resume writing, following up, and interviewing. We will also have local businesses available to provide information on hiring for the upcoming holiday season! This is a drop-in event, but signing up gets you a fun swag bag! Feel free to stop by to check it out and learn some helpful information.
