Mesick will be open 11-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11-3 p.m. on Saturdays. We’re so excited to serve you in person again! To keep the community safe and healthy, we’ve had to make some changes. See the list below for answers to your frequently asked questions:

WHAT IS THE LIBRARY DOING TO MAKE BOOKS AND MATERIALS SAFE TO BORROW?

Per the Centers for Disease Control and the Institute of Museum and Library Services recommendations, books and materials are quarantined for four days. Book covers and CD’s and CD cases are wiped down before the items are returned to the shelf. Board games, puzzles, and backpacks are not available for check out at this time.

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A MASK INSIDE THE LIBRARY?

Yes.  Library policy requires all medically able people over the age of five to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times while in the library building.   If you have forgotten your mask, ask for one at the circulation desk.

WHAT IF I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE IN PUBLIC SPACES YET?

lot of people are reluctant to venture out. That's okay! We will continue curbside service for those patrons who want a book but don’t want to face a crowd. Just call the library or email us at: For Cadillac: 775-6541 pickup@cadillaclibrary.org, For Manton: 824-3584 manton@cadillaclibrary.org, For Mesick: 885-1120 mesick@cadillaclibrary.org. We’ll pull your books and call to let you know when they’re ready. You can pick them up at our contactless pickup station by the book drop.

CAN WE USE THE COMPUTERS?

Of course! Computer usage will change though. To comply with social distancing requirements, we have been forced to remove some computers and relocate others. To make sure that everyone can get on that needs to, computer sessions will be an hour long. If you have a special need like an exam or job application that will require more time, you can ask the library staff before you start your session.
