Jim Hunt (In costume & persona)

Pontiac's Uprising- come during the 250th anniversary and hear how two sons of Michigan played major roles in the early history of our yet to be, New Republic.  One you already know, and one you will know.  Join Jim Hunt as he tells of the siege of Fort Detroit, the attacks and massacres of Fort St. Joseph and Fort Michilimackinac.  Hear what was left out of your school history books.

Originally from Lansing, Jim attended Central Michigan University majoring in Political Science and History.  He taught high school history  and government in Lansing.  After he moved to Cadillac, Jim began teaching middle school social studies, science and language arts; adult education government, history and economics.  Currently, he is the principal of Kenwood Elementary and the Director of Adult Education.  He is also on the faculty of Baker College Cadillac, teaching classes in political science, history and geography.  Conference Chari from the Michigan Council for the Social Studies, Jim is responsible for professional development activities the Council put on state wide.  Jim is a volunteer interrupter/reenactor at Colonial Michilimackinac for the French and Indian War/ Revolution period.
